When Bornova's Yıldıray Olgunsoy in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Uygur Mutlugün was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute Bahattin Erüstün shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uygur Mutlugün saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uygur Mutlugün took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bahattin Erüstün, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Bornova's Bahattin Erüstün got a free kick in the 31st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Alaaddin Oksay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bornova's supporters rose to their feet, but Alaaddin Oksay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uygur Mutlugün breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bahattin Erüstün received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Uygur Mutlugün tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uygur Mutlugün showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yıldıray Olgunsoy in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ahmet Hafiz Üstam to strike the kick off in the second half. Mirkelam Özak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulu Tongar, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute Ulu Tongar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mirkelam Özak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bornova's Mirkelam Özak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Hafiz Üstam in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Ahmet Nafiz Sehriyar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Bornova getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Hakkı Onur Tongar hit a great ball. Bornova's Mirkelam Özak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Hafiz Üstam in the 64th minute of play. Mirkelam Özak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulu Tongar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uygur Mutlugün made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bahattin Erüstün in the 70th minute. Yıldıray Olgunsoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Uygur Mutlugün tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 97 minutes, Ahmet Hafiz Üstam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mahmudiye FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Hafiz Üstam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bornova's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
