Fikret Yalazay started the match with the kick off. Doğuş Ortanca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökhun Onatkan having to interfere. Ceyhun Yörükoğlu's late challenge caught a Kirikhan SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ceyhun Yörükoğlu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kirikhan SK booed when Diyarbakir JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fikret Yalazay couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oktay Türk during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Diyarbakir JK got a freekick which was hit by Oktay Türk. Rıdvan İğdemir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fikret Yalazay in the 25th minute of play forced Diyarbakir JK's goalkeeper Ekber Canay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Hürkan Tuğtekin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Gökhun Onatkan was a little too slow when Doğuş Ortanca got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-0. Ekber Canay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fikret Yalazay in the 33rd minute of play. Fikret Yalazay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doğuş Ortanca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gökhun Onatkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Recai Akboy charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Recai Akboy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd minute, Recai Akboy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Kirikhan SK booed when Diyarbakir JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oktay Osmanlıoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Doğuş Ortanca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Kirikhan SK defense, Hürkan Tuğtekin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gökhun Onatkan. The Kirikhan SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gökhun Onatkan should have stopped the shot. 57 minutes into the match, Doğuş Ortanca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gökhun Onatkan. Kirikhan SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doğuş Ortanca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Fikret Yalazay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ekber Canay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gökhun Onatkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doğuş Ortanca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hürkan Tuğtekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 played minutes Kirikhan SK got a freekick which was hit by Recai Akboy. 74 minutes into the match, Diyarbakir JK's Hürkan Tuğtekin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gökhun Onatkan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Diyarbakir JK's Ekber Canay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Diyarbakir JK from getting a goal against them. Mehmet Bedri Uraltan charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mehmet Bedri Uraltan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kirikhan SK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
