Akil Hekimhanlı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barbaros Baytüzün having to interfere. Iskenderun's Barbaros Baytüzün played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erdinç Ergüven in the 6th minute of play. If Erdinç Ergüven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 minutes of play, Ciftlikköy's Erdinç Ergüven made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barbaros Baytüzün was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iskenderun's Barbaros Baytüzün played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erdinç Ergüven in the 13th minute of play. Barbaros Baytüzün made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akil Hekimhanlı in the 20th minute of play. A hard shot 28 in the game by Arslan Regaip from a close distance when the talented Nihat Temizkan managed to make a qualified save. Ciftlikköy's players were relieved. Tuncer Ağaverdi struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Nihat Temizkan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iskenderun. After 36 minutes of play, Ciftlikköy's Akil Hekimhanlı made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barbaros Baytüzün was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 38 minutes, Mürsel Tolay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iskenderun and the Ciftlikköy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mürsel Tolay hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Iskenderun defense, Erdinç Ergüven kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barbaros Baytüzün. The Iskenderun fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barbaros Baytüzün should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Ciftlikköy's Hulusi Tekinel got a free kick in the 48th minute.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baransel Ruhi during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arslan Regaip in the 57th minute of play forced Ciftlikköy's goalkeeper Nihat Temizkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th match minute, Ciftlikköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saruhan Yalazalp to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Ciftlikköy's goal looked a bit too open when Arslan Regaip came free, but Nihat Temizkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Akil Hekimhanlı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Barbaros Baytüzün tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Iskenderun's goalkeeper Barbaros Baytüzün had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Akil Hekimhanlı. Tuncer Ağaverdi spun around in front of the goal 80 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Ciftlikköy's goal. 83 minutes into the match, Akil Hekimhanlı had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Barbaros Baytüzün. Iskenderun's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Akil Hekimhanlı was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 87thth minute of the game Arslan Regaip who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ciftlikköy's Nihat Temizkan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The tension between the Iskenderun and the Ciftlikköy players grew even worse after the yellow card. 90 minutes into the game, one of Iskenderun:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Erdinç Ergüven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciftlikköy's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
