After 28 played minutes Hassa got a freekick which was hit by Niyazi Şanlı. 29 minutes into the match, Hassa's goalkeeper Hatemi Akkaya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kenan Kamer. Hatemi Akkaya made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Kenan Kamer sent off a good shot on target. 3-1 became the score in the 33rd minute when Varol İlbey elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 37 played minutes Hassa got a freekick which was hit by Müslüm Okyanus. Özdemir Sarı charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Özdemir Sarı the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Özdemir Sarı hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute of the match Necat Çınar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hatemi Akkaya skillfully saved the ball. Yaser Erozan kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Necat Çınar during the 44th minute. In the 45th minute of the match Can Vecihi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mahir Oyal skillfully saved the ball. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Damal's goalkeeper Mahir Oyal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mahir Oyal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ataol Başöz's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niyazi Şanlı was the one to do the kick off. Hatemi Akkaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenan Kamer in the 54th minute of play. Kenan Kamer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Varol İlbey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hatemi Akkaya was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Niyazi Şanlı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Mahir Oyal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Niyazi Şanlı had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mahir Oyal. Damal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niyazi Şanlı was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Hatemi Akkaya didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kenan Kamer went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score.
