In the 4th minute, Mustafa Kemal Mukaddes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Talat Yalman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sercan Doğu, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Talat Yalman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sercan Doğu in the 11th minute of the match. Sercan Doğu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Talat Yalman having to interfere. Talat Yalman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sercan Doğu in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Side booed when Maltepe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seyfettin Tancan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sefa Erdursun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bahtiyar Keskiner in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bahtiyar Keskiner in the 25th minute of play forced Side's goalkeeper Sefa Erdursun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Oğuzer Uman fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maltepe's protests and gave Oğuzer Uman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31stth minute of the game Mustafa Kemal Mukaddes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maltepe's Talat Yalman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bilge Şikel's late challenge caught a Side's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bilge Şikel helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes Maltepe got a freekick which was hit by Bilge Şikel. After some careless play in the Side defense, Abdurrezzak Tavil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sefa Erdursun. The Side fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sefa Erdursun should have stopped the shot. Mustafa Kemal Mukaddes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Talat Yalman having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Maltepe's Boğaç Esay got a free kick in the 39th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bahtiyar Keskiner to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Side's zone, Abdurrezzak Tavil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sefa Erdursun came out of the goal and Abdurrezzak Tavil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sefa Erdursun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bahtiyar Keskiner, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Side's goal looked a bit too open when Bahtiyar Keskiner came free, but Sefa Erdursun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Maltepe getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Seyfettin Tancan hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sercan Doğu in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Talat Yalman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute, Sadri Demir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mustafa Kemal Mukaddes in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Talat Yalman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mustafa Kemal Mukaddes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Talat Yalman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sercan Doğu in the 75th minute of the match. Bahtiyar Keskiner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sefa Erdursun having to interfere. Maltepe's Talat Yalman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Maltepe from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd minute Sercan Doğu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Talat Yalman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sefa Erdursun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdurrezzak Tavil in the 84th minute of the match. Sercan Doğu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Talat Yalman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Talat Yalman was a little too slow when Sercan Doğu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 1-1.
