In the 9th match minute, Edirne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halim Gagauz to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Gökhan Yasin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hadi Pınarbaşı. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. If Gani Zeynelabidin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dündar Hanbeyi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ziya Onur Uruz in the 21st minute of the match. Dündar Hanbeyi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gani Zeynelabidin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ziya Onur Uruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nuh Gülsoy came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Cakirlar SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuh Gülsoy couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, Cahit Salcan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hadi Pınarbaşı, 2-0. Gökhan Yasin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edirne's Hadi Pınarbaşı proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Edirne from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ziya Onur Uruz was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Gani Zeynelabidin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edirne's supporters rose to their feet, but Gani Zeynelabidin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dündar Hanbeyi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dündar Hanbeyi had great luck who in the 57thth minute grab hold of the ball when Ziya Onur Uruz from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 62 minutes into the game, Cakirlar SK's Nuh Gülsoy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hadi Pınarbaşı made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Edirne's zone, Nuh Gülsoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hadi Pınarbaşı came out of the goal and Nuh Gülsoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 70 played minutes Edirne got a freekick which was hit by Halim Gagauz. A collision led to Cakirlar SK getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Sabit Yalkı hit a great ball. In the 80th minute Ziya Onur Uruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dündar Hanbeyi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alkan Tuncer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gani Zeynelabidin scored 3-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dündar Hanbeyi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gani Zeynelabidin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Dündar Hanbeyi made a huge save. Dündar Hanbeyi was a little too slow when Ziya Onur Uruz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 3-2. In the 96th minute, Baybora Yunus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cakirlar SK had won after a very even match.
