A collision led to Karamanli getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Halit Ziya Özilter hit a great ball. If Gökçek Bakırcıoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kubat Selim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 16 minutes, Gökçek Bakırcıoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Derik JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gökçek Bakırcıoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gökçek Bakırcıoğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tanju Erboğa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Asım Gökkuşağı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esat Ekinci, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. If Cezmi Karakaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Derik JK's zone, Esat Ekinci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Asım Gökkuşağı came out of the goal and Esat Ekinci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cezmi Karakaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cezmi Karakaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Asım Gökkuşağı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gökçek Bakırcıoğlu to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Karamanli's Esat Ekinci sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asım Gökkuşağı narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cezmi Karakaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Asım Gökkuşağı showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esat Ekinci, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute Esat Ekinci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asım Gökkuşağı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Vacib Tanaltan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Esat Ekinci in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Asım Gökkuşağı prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Derik JK's Asım Gökkuşağı proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Derik JK from getting a goal against them. Esat Ekinci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Derik JK booed when Karamanli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Ediz Üstay didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Derik JK's goal looked a bit too open when Esat Ekinci came free, but Asım Gökkuşağı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kubat Selim might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tanju Erboğa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kubat Selim ran back to his position shaking his head. Tanju Erboğa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kubat Selim in the 83rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Kubat Selim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Derik JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kubat Selim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tanju Erboğa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gürel Raşit struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Asım Gökkuşağı didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karamanli. After 95 minutes, Erenay Haznedaroğlu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Derik JK and the Karamanli players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 96 played minutes Derik JK got a freekick which was hit by Erenay Haznedaroğlu. Cezmi Karakaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asım Gökkuşağı having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
