İsmail Cem Ünalmış received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Balamir Nizam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Ankara's Oktay Sümre broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Erdoğan Mehdi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moda JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Erdoğan Mehdi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Buğra Rasim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Sabit Uğurlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ankara booed when Moda JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gökçek İlbaşı didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute of the match Oktay Sümre shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Balamir Nizam showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Ankara's Buğra Rasim got control of the ball when Erdoğan Mehdi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sabit Uğurlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balamir Nizam having to interfere. Balamir Nizam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İsmail Cem Ünalmış in the 27th minute of play. Hamza Onurhan kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Ankara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tayfur Ataseven to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the game, Peyami Talu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moda JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ankara the free kick. In the 37th minute İsmail Cem Ünalmış shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balamir Nizam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabit Uğurlu in the 38th minute of play forced Moda JK's goalkeeper Balamir Nizam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute İsmail Cem Ünalmış shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balamir Nizam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a rather tough play, Moda JK's Kutlay Asya got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Oktay Sümre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Buğra Rasim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erdoğan Mehdi, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Balamir Nizam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabit Uğurlu in the 61st minute of the match. İsmail Cem Ünalmış could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Balamir Nizam made a huge save. After 65 played minutes Moda JK got a freekick which was hit by Peyami Talu. In the 67thth minute of the game İsmail Cem Ünalmış who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moda JK's Balamir Nizam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Balamir Nizam made an important save on a dangerous shot by İsmail Cem Ünalmış in the 72nd minute. After 73 minutes, Ata Temur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ankara and the Moda JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ankara's Ata Temur got a free kick in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Moda JK's Arman Bengialp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Buğra Rasim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Arman Bengialp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Moda JK's zone, İsmail Cem Ünalmış stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Balamir Nizam came out of the goal and İsmail Cem Ünalmış tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Moda JK's goalkeeper Balamir Nizam, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 86 played minutes Moda JK got a freekick which was hit by Peyami Talu. Balamir Nizam made an important save on a dangerous shot by İsmail Cem Ünalmış in the 89th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Ankara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şadi Paksan to maneuver through the defense. If Erdoğan Mehdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Many of Ankara's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ankara may have spent more time on the ball, but Moda JK were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
