The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Onurhan Gezer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Güneş Şemsi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Onurhan Gezer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Burak Arınç's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. If Aytekin Ereken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Iydere's goalkeeper Fetih Baytüze, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Onurhan Gezer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Güneş Şemsi in the 15th minute of play. Ekber Ayçetin's late challenge caught a Iydere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ekber Ayçetin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Dörtyolagizi's Ekber Ayçetin got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 27 played minutes, Dörtyolagizi's Kamuran Doğulu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fetih Baytüze came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dörtyolagizi reached it. When Güneş Şemsi came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Iydere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Güneş Şemsi couldn't finish the play. If Burak Arınç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Numan Haymanalı during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 played minutes Dörtyolagizi got a freekick which was hit by Ali Numan Haymanalı. When Günalp Taykoç fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dörtyolagizi's protests and gave Günalp Taykoç a yellow card for diving instead. Yetkin Tekalp took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Onurhan Gezer. Dörtyolagizi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Aytekin Ereken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Iydere getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Mazhar Türegün hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cebrail Vedatoğulları was the one to do the kick off. Burak Arınç struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Onurhan Gezer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iydere. 61 minutes into the game, Dörtyolagizi's Aytekin Ereken nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fetih Baytüze made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 65th minute, Yetkin Tekalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Güneş Şemsi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Onurhan Gezer having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Dörtyolagizi's goal looked a bit too open when Güneş Şemsi came free, but Onurhan Gezer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Çelikan Şakib hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Iydere's Güneş Şemsi got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Güneş Şemsi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iydere's Fetih Baytüze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cebrail Vedatoğulları in the 98th minute of play. Iydere's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Dörtyolagizi had won, even though Iydere had held more of the ball.
