Vahdet Yenal started the match with the kick off. Doğuş İnegöllü showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vahdet Yenal, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 15th minute, Ensar Mertol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Onur Ali Bir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. In the 37th minute Vahdet Yenal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doğuş İnegöllü saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sivasli's Vahdet Yenal was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 39th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Vahdet Yenal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sivasli's supporters rose to their feet, but Vahdet Yenal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doğuş İnegöllü breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 48 minutes into the match, Samsunspor's goal looked a bit too open when Ensar Mertol came free, but Doğuş İnegöllü reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Onur Ali Bir made a kick off. Ensar Mertol hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Sivasli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Samsunspor's Doğuş İnegöllü played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vahdet Yenal in the 89th minute of play. Vahdet Yenal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Doğuş İnegöllü tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Samsunspor had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
