After 13 played minutes Susurluk got a freekick which was hit by Arda Göksel Yurday. After a defensive mix-up in Can's zone, Atay Toydemir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Babür Ergüleç came out of the goal and Atay Toydemir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Ali Kürşat Bircan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Doğan Yankı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Raik Okdağ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ceyhan Onuker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ceyhan Onuker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arslan Yılkan having to interfere. Arslan Yılkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceyhan Onuker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ceyhan Onuker to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doğan Yankı got free with Arslan Yılkan in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Turgay Özay hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Atay Toydemir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sancarbey Özsel's late challenge caught a Susurluk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sancarbey Özsel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Sancarbey Özsel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th match minute, Can was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sancarbey Özsel to maneuver through the defense. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Can would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
