Dündar Mutluer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esat Nazif having to interfere. Esat Nazif showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dündar Mutluer, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The supporters of Altinyayla booed when Nazilli SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atabek Siret didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esat Nazif came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Altinyayla's Hakkı Deniz Koralp. But to his dismay, Hakkı Deniz Koralp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Volkan Yücel's late challenge caught a Nazilli SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Volkan Yücel helped the player get up and apologised. Volkan Yücel kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Tan Ongunalp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nazilli SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tan Ongunalp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şaban Oray breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Esat Nazif showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakkı Deniz Koralp in the 57th minute of the match.
