In the 8th minute Kenan Bedi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asım Arif Engiay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hayrabolu's Asım Arif Engiay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustafa Namık Suha in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of Karabük booed when Hayrabolu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bilal Perinçek didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
In the 52nd minute, Karabük's Mustafa Namık Suha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Asım Arif Engiay. Asım Arif Engiay yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. A collision led to Hayrabolu getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Beyhan Omay hit a great ball. Hazar Özcebe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
