Arif Cengiz Toker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İbrahim Ethem Tunçsoy in the 21st minute of the match. Boyabat's Hidayet Ayberk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Öztürk Öksak in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Öztürk Öksak in the 28th minute of play forced Boyabat's goalkeeper Hidayet Ayberk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Öztürk Öksak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayet Ayberk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Susurluk JK's zone, Bircan Balcı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arif Cengiz Toker came out of the goal and Bircan Balcı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Cevahir Çevikcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th match minute, Boyabat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duran Tunçdağ to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 43 minutes, Öztürk Öksak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Susurluk JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Öztürk Öksak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bircan Balcı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Bircan Balcı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arif Cengiz Toker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Behçet Tümerk hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 59 played minutes Raşit Ruhsan shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Boyabat's Hidayet Ayberk to catch but Raşit Ruhsan was lucky. It became 2-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. If Balaban Şahbazoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Boyabat's goal looked a bit too open when Namık Kemal Yavuzcan came free, but Hidayet Ayberk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boyabat's goalkeeper Hidayet Ayberk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Balaban Şahbazoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayet Ayberk having to interfere. 2-2 became the score in the 77th minute when İbrahim Ethem Tunçsoy elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
