Ferit Patlar came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Davutpasa's Ömer Rıza Gezer. But to his dismay, Ömer Rıza Gezer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Karadeniz Özsahin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Ahmet Koralp Seci made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Bülent Aynacıoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ünye FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Bülent Aynacıoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Koralp Seci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferit Patlar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Ömür Akyıldız in the 20th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bülent Aynacıoğlu in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Koralp Seci prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ömer Rıza Gezer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ferit Patlar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Ömer Rıza Gezer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Davutpasa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ömer Rıza Gezer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferit Patlar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Ömür Akyıldız in the 37th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

64 minutes into the game, Necip Hancı cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ferit Patlar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 68th match minute, Ünye FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tanju Karay to maneuver through the defense. Ferit Patlar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ömer Rıza Gezer's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. A collision led to Ünye FK getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Yüksel Dölek hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Ömür Akyıldız got free with Ferit Patlar in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Karadeniz Özsahin struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Ahmet Koralp Seci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ünye FK. Ferit Patlar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Rıza Gezer in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of Davutpasa booed when Ünye FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdullatif Kutlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Davutpasa's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 88th minute of the game, when Çakabey Özgiray after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Ünye FK's goal. Çakabey Özgiray was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Ferit Patlar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Rıza Gezer in the 90th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ömer Rıza Gezer in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferit Patlar saved Ünye FK from getting behind. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Davutpasa eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
