Mümtazer Revan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reis Hallaçoğlu having to interfere. Mücahit Ruhsan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mehmet Hakkı Çiftçi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lütfullah Akartürk during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 21 minutes, Rahman Akbora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sariyer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rahman Akbora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Güngör Zekai didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mehmet Hakkı Çiftçi went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Cafer Kazakhan hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Reis Hallaçoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rahman Akbora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute Rahman Akbora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reis Hallaçoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Rahman Akbora struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Reis Hallaçoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sariyer. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reis Hallaçoğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reis Hallaçoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rahman Akbora in the 78th minute of the match. Ilica JK's Aytek Balta got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Güngör Zekai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Hakkı Çiftçi, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. The supporters of Ilica JK booed when Sariyer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rahman Akbora didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mücahit Ruhsan might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Güngör Zekai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mücahit Ruhsan ran back to his position shaking his head. Güngör Zekai was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mehmet Hakkı Çiftçi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 96 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ilica JK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
