In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yahyali FK's goalkeeper Mustafa Oğuz Işınbay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mustafa Oğuz Işınbay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gökmen Seyfullah in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ergani SK's zone, Ulvi Uyguner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rahmi Oksu came out of the goal and Ulvi Uyguner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Ahmet Taşel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yahyali FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Taşel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rahmi Oksu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 40 minutes, Arman Yalçınkaya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ergani SK and the Yahyali FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Yahyali FK booed when Ergani SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arman Yalçınkaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Arda Ozan Belge sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ergani SK's Rahmi Oksu didn't even have to move. Rahmi Oksu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulvi Uyguner, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

In the 52nd play minute Seyfi Özkutlu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mustafa Oğuz Işınbay. 0-1. Mustafa Oğuz Işınbay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Seyfi Özkutlu in the 59th minute. In the 65th minute Ulvi Uyguner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rahmi Oksu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulvi Uyguner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rahmi Oksu having to interfere. Mustafa Oğuz Işınbay came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Ergani SK's Seyfi Özkutlu. But to his dismay, Seyfi Özkutlu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 85 minutes into the game, Volkan Torehan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yahyali FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ergani SK the free kick. Gökmen Seyfullah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Oğuz Işınbay having to interfere. Mustafa Oğuz Işınbay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gökmen Seyfullah in the 98th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ergani SK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
