In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarigöl SK's goalkeeper Duran Arıhan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sarigöl SK's Duran Arıhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bünyamin Vefakar in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bünyamin Vefakar to make the kick off. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sarigöl SK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Batu Cem Okanalp was slow to take the kick. During this time Birecik SK's players had a chance to rest. Cankut Kaveloğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Duran Arıhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bünyamin Vefakar came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Birecik SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bünyamin Vefakar couldn't finish the play.
