Cayeli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bünyan JK the free kick. In the 8th minute of the match Derman Tanrıverdi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Batı Öğeturk skillfully saved the ball. When Suphi Göçer came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Cayeli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Suphi Göçer couldn't finish the play. Bünyan JK's Sebati Öksüzoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şerif Uğurata in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Fikret Yalaza in the 15th minute of play forced Cayeli's goalkeeper Batı Öğeturk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Cankut Özilter made a precise shot to the right of Batı Öğeturk. Cayeli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Batı Öğeturk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cankut Özilter in the 22nd minute. Batı Öğeturk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Fikret Yalaza in the 23rd minute of play. Şerif Uğurata hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Sebati Öksüzoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şerif Uğurata in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Birkan Özerol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebati Öksüzoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bünyan JK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abidin Ahad was slow to take the kick. During this time Cayeli's players had a chance to rest. Cayeli's Suphi Göçer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sebati Öksüzoğlu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cankut Özilter got free with Batı Öğeturk in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 48thth minute of the game Şerif Uğurata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bünyan JK's Sebati Öksüzoğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Birkan Özerol made the kick off in the second half. Cankut Özilter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Batı Öğeturk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cankut Özilter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 89 minutes, Kürşat Çağlar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bünyan JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kürşat Çağlar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Sancarbey Özdemir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Fikret Yalaza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
