But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sacit Özalp couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Sezgin Keykubad sped through Galata's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ogün Taçkın. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celalettin Birtan was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Galata's Abdurrahim Kadrican broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 58th minute Sacit Özalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İskender Soner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mesut Betik fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galata's protests and gave Mesut Betik a yellow card for diving instead. Sezgin Keykubad had several of the Galata's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 74 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Ogün Taçkın as he didn't even see the shot coming. Pamukkale SK's Sezgin Keykubad got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gencer Sağıt in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg İskender Soner saved Pamukkale SK from getting behind. Celalettin Birtan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Abdurrahim Kadrican hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 86 minutes, İsmail Cem Sidam mouthed his way into the referee's book.
