An unexpectedly hard shot by Haydar Özkar in the 16th minute of play forced Islahiye's goalkeeper Yusuf Özaltan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Mustafa Yaşar Uraza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Necdet Bulut was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Necdet Bulut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Yaşar Uraza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Haydar Özkar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yusuf Özaltan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ataol Rekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Islahiye's zone, Ataol Rekin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yusuf Özaltan came out of the goal and Ataol Rekin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Şaban Arıcan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. The supporters of Tercüman booed when Islahiye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şaban Arıcan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Necdet Bulut didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Selami Nefer went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 92nd minute, Berkin Polatkan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Ertunç Tümer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tercüman's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
