The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Çağan Türcan during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Necaettin Bilginer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Ege Sağan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 9 minutes into the game, Aygün Baloğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Büyükorhan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sefaatli FK the free kick. A collision led to Büyükorhan getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Aygün Baloğlu hit a great ball. Erkut Ruknettin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ege Sağan having to interfere. Ege Sağan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erkut Ruknettin, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. With a little luck, Büyükorhan's Ege Sağan got control of the ball when Necaettin Bilginer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erkut Ruknettin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ege Sağan having to interfere. If Cüneyt Tezal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Erkut Ruknettin sped through Büyükorhan's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ege Sağan. After a rather tough play, Sefaatli FK's Alkan Altuğ got a free kick in the 26th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Büyükorhan's Behçet Avcı tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Büyükorhan booed when Sefaatli FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derman Onuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Behçet Avcı sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sefaatli FK's Cavit Oğuzbala didn't even have to move. In the 37th minute, Kazım Sadak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aygün Baloğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Cavit Oğuzbala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sefaatli FK's goalkeeper Cavit Oğuzbala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erkut Ruknettin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when İlmi Bekdil got free with Cavit Oğuzbala in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Sefaatli FK's Cavit Oğuzbala got control of the ball when İlmi Bekdil tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Erkut Ruknettin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ege Sağan was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. When Hikmet Rical fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Büyükorhan's protests and gave Hikmet Rical a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sefaatli FK booed when Büyükorhan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hikmet Rical didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Aygün Baloğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. İlmi Bekdil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cavit Oğuzbala having to interfere. Ege Sağan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erkut Ruknettin in the 72nd minute of play. Cavit Oğuzbala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aygün Baloğlu in the 80th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, İlmi Bekdil put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Cavit Oğuzbala. Aygün Baloğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Cavit Oğuzbala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
