In the 11th minute, Ragıp Onurhan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Murathan Özbilir hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Ali Kağan Ergüven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ragıp Onurhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bora Han Yetişbey ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 46 minutes, Ragıp Onurhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kurtulus FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ragıp Onurhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Murathan Özbilir during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Güneysinir SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kurtulus FK:s goal. After the first half Kurtulus FK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cemalettin Metiner might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melik Mete. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cemalettin Metiner ran back to his position shaking his head. When Refik Ruhsat fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kurtulus FK's protests and gave Refik Ruhsat a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th match minute, Kurtulus FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Refik Ruhsat to maneuver through the defense. Ali Kağan Ergüven went to the wrong direction when Hatemi Sadan was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. A collision led to Güneysinir SK getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Batu İncili hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Güneysinir SK's goalkeeper Ali Kağan Ergüven, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Melik Mete was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 82nd minute, Naim Öztürk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kurtulus FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After 89 played minutes Kurtulus FK got a freekick which was hit by Refik Ruhsat. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pekin User couldn't finish the play. Refik Ruhsat kicked well hit freekick during the 101st minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kurtulus FK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
