Reşat Akarslan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olcay Orkun Savlet's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Olcay Orkun Savlet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faruk Nafiz Onaran in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reşat Akarslan saved Yatagan SK from getting behind. When Faruk Nafiz Onaran came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Aralik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faruk Nafiz Onaran couldn't finish the play. If Bülent Oymen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Bülent Oymen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Selman Özdemir charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Selman Özdemir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Aralik booed when Yatagan SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Selman Özdemir didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes, Aralik's Fikret Ongar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Reşat Akarslan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aralik reached it. If Faruk Nafiz Onaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olcay Orkun Savlet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Reşat Akarslan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Faruk Nafiz Onaran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aralik's supporters rose to their feet, but Faruk Nafiz Onaran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reşat Akarslan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reşat Akarslan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faruk Nafiz Onaran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Faruk Nafiz Onaran struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Reşat Akarslan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aralik. When Bülent Oymen came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Yatagan SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bülent Oymen couldn't finish the play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olcay Orkun Savlet couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
