Mümtaz Önel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Öztürk Murathan went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Sertaç Boz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birant Eroğul, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Kutay Kumanbay charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kutay Kumanbay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Kutay Kumanbay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Öztürk Murathan ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Birant Eroğul was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Cevher Tunçkol kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mümtaz Önel. That made the score 1-3 in the 51 minute of play. When Gökçen Atatuğ fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merter JK's protests and gave Gökçen Atatuğ a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd match minute, Merter JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Semi Kürşat to maneuver through the defense. Merter JK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Öztürk Murathan scored to the left of an out of position Mümtaz Önel, making the score, 1-4. 66 minutes into the match, Öztürk Murathan notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Merter JK's Mümtaz Önel. Mümtaz Önel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Melih Önen kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Utku Bayrak in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mümtaz Önel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Öztürk Murathan in the 73rd minute of play forced Merter JK's goalkeeper Mümtaz Önel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Ahmet Bülent Adıbelli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sertaç Boz. Mecidiyeköy JK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ahmet Bülent Adıbelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. Oğuzkan Ünal kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Akın Refet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ertaç Seylan lost his temper 85 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 85th minute, one of Mecidiyeköy JK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mecidiyeköy JK. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Utku Bayrak got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ahmet Bülent Adıbelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sertaç Boz having to interfere. Mecidiyeköy JK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
