Tahsin Acarbay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İsmail Hakkı Önen's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Günay Yaybüke in the 5th minute of play forced Kücükköyspor's goalkeeper Tahsin Acarbay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bektaş Nesip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Basri Niyaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tahsin Acarbay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İsmail Hakkı Önen in the 16th minute of play. After 22 minutes, Nurkan Beşir mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kücükköyspor and the Sürüc players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 22 played minutes Kücükköyspor got a freekick which was hit by Nurkan Beşir. 23 minutes into the match, Sürüc's Semavi Yücel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 25 minutes into the match, Sürüc's goalkeeper Basri Niyaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bektaş Nesip. Tahsin Acarbay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İsmail Hakkı Önen in the 29th minute of the match. The supporters of Sürüc booed when Kücükköyspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yahya Özkut didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute İsmail Hakkı Önen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tahsin Acarbay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Tuncay Tekinalp fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Basri Niyaz, passed just outside the right post. 37 minutes into the game, Serhat Usbay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sürüc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kücükköyspor the free kick. In the 38th match minute, Sürüc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serhat Usbay to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Kücükköyspor's Karadeniz Yörük tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Bektaş Nesip got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 49 minutes into the game, Sürüc's İsmail Hakkı Önen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tahsin Acarbay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After the first half Sürüc were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Günay Yaybüke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. İsmail Hakkı Önen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Tahsin Acarbay skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If İsmail Hakkı Önen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tahsin Acarbay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Günay Yaybüke in the 64th minute of the match. Basri Niyaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bektaş Nesip in the 66th minute of the match. Bektaş Nesip fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basri Niyaz having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bektaş Nesip in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basri Niyaz saved Sürüc from getting behind. When Bektaş Nesip came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Kücükköyspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bektaş Nesip couldn't finish the play. During the 76th minute of the match Serhat Usbay completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Serhat Usbay a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Sürüc's Serhat Usbay got a free kick in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Kücükköyspor's goalkeeper Tahsin Acarbay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by İsmail Hakkı Önen. If Şenel Tanbek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bektaş Nesip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Sürüc's goal looked a bit too open when Bektaş Nesip came free, but Basri Niyaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Yahya Özkut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basri Niyaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Bektaş Nesip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basri Niyaz was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. In the 99th minute, Bektaş Nesip left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kücükköyspor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
