After 6 played minutes Köycegiz got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa İzzet Demirel. A hard shot 8 in the game by Mümtaz Kayansel from a close distance when the talented Yalçın İlke managed to make a qualified save. Köycegiz's players were relieved. 13 minutes into the match, Ankara's goal looked a bit too open when kaya Kutan came free, but Mehmet Emin Eryetiş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Hamdi Tolunay in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mehmet Emin Eryetiş saved Ankara from getting behind. After 20 played minutes Rahim Polathan rounded Köycegiz's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After 22 played minutes Köycegiz got a freekick which was hit by Atalan Besim. When Mümtaz Kayansel came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Ankara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mümtaz Kayansel couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rahim Polathan in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yalçın İlke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes in the game, Rahim Polathan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Yalçın İlke having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Bozkurt Giyas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Köycegiz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ankara the free kick. The supporters of Ankara booed when Köycegiz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bozkurt Giyas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mehmet Emin Eryetiş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from kaya Kutan in the 34th minute of the match. Ahmet Hamdi Tolunay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Emin Eryetiş having to interfere. Ankara's supporters rose to their feet, but Rahim Polathan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yalçın İlke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee gave Ankara a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Suphi Irmak, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Köycegiz's Yalçın İlke. 2-1. In the 92nd minute, Fırat Saatçioğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bozkurt Giyas struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Mehmet Emin Eryetiş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Köycegiz. Ahmet Hamdi Tolunay's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mehmet Emin Eryetiş firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ankara fans cheered their team off the field, for while Köycegiz had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
