Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Korhan İsrafil kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Malatyaspor booed when Senirkent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. İsa Sarıcabay didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Korhan İsrafil in the 8th minute of play forced Senirkent's goalkeeper Ali Erdem Günsel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Erdem Günsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Çetin Eker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Malatyaspor's goalkeeper Atilla Tarkan İçten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Yahya Emekli. 14 minutes into the game, Hayri Şahvar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Senirkent's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malatyaspor the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Korhan İsrafil in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Erdem Günsel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ali Erdem Günsel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çetin Eker in the 21st minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Senirkent's goal looked a bit too open when Tunç Dalan came free, but Ali Erdem Günsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atilla Tarkan İçten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Ali İbiş in the 32nd minute of play. After 38 played minutes Ahmet Ali İbiş rounded Malatyaspor's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 41st match minute, Senirkent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hayri Şahvar to maneuver through the defense. If Ahmet Ali İbiş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmet Ali İbiş made a kick off. Çetin Eker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Çetin Eker took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ali Erdem Günsel. Ali Erdem Günsel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Senirkent's Ahmet Yahya Emekli got a free kick in the 66th minute. With an all-out effort, Malatyaspor's Ali Erdem Günsel threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Korhan İsrafil, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Senirkent's zone, Çetin Eker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Erdem Günsel came out of the goal and Çetin Eker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Senirkent's Ali Erdem Günsel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Senirkent from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes into the game, Cezmi Şahsuvar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malatyaspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Senirkent the free kick. The Malatyaspor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Malatyaspor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
