When Tolunay Yaltıray came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Samsun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tolunay Yaltıray couldn't finish the play. Çağdaş Özduru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Sezer Ulubay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Çağdaş Özduru fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sezer Ulubay, passed just outside the right post. Çağdaş Özduru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naci Çakar in the 12th minute of play forced Hanak's goalkeeper Müslüm Ersayın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sezer Ulubay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Çağdaş Özduru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Ahmet Vefik Faydalı sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Samsun's Sezer Ulubay didn't even have to move. In the 20th minute Tolunay Yaltıray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Müslüm Ersayın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Naci Çakar came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Samsun fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arslan Şemsi in the 26th minute of play forced Samsun's goalkeeper Sezer Ulubay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sezer Ulubay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Çağdaş Özduru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had been going on for 35 minutes, Hanak's Ahmet Vefik Faydalı got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sezer Ulubay. In the 41st minute, Gürol Çokay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sezer Ulubay was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Naci Çakars short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Müslüm Ersayın to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tolunay Yaltıray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Müslüm Ersayın having to interfere. A collision led to Samsun getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Mikail Üstay hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tolunay Yaltıray in the 65th minute of play forced Hanak's goalkeeper Müslüm Ersayın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Naci Çakar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sezer Ulubay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Çağdaş Özduru, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Çağdaş Özduru notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Samsun's Sezer Ulubay. Sezer Ulubay was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute Tolunay Yaltıray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Müslüm Ersayın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 played minutes Hanak got a freekick which was hit by Ali Emir Menderes. Naci Çakar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tolunay Yaltıray struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Müslüm Ersayın didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samsun. Müslüm Ersayın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tolunay Yaltıray in the 97th minute of play. Hanak's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
