With his leg İbrahim Ethem Demir managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Devrekhane's Ferid Akçakan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Samsunspor's Mehdi Müşfik got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With 68 minutes on the clock, Şanver Emir commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şamil Yonal in the 74th minute of play forced Devrekhane's goalkeeper Yavuz Selim Sezal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şamil Yonal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yavuz Selim Sezal having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Devrekhane walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
