Ziya Onur Başaydın's late challenge caught a Elazigspor FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Mahmut Tümel sped through Elazigspor FK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mehmet Hakkı İley.
