Çağrı Tanın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bornova JK's zone, Kutalp Heybetli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mirkelam Özver came out of the goal and Kutalp Heybetli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Akcadag's goalkeeper Bayezit Tongar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Akcadag getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Serbülent Hacıoğlu hit a great ball. When Ahmet Kutsi Taş fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Emirşah Seci took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Bayezit Tongar to make any attempt to save it. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
