When Peyami Suha fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bayat JK's protests and gave Peyami Suha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Bayat JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peyami Suha to maneuver through the defense. Samim Akoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Mehmet Bilge Kağan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Giresun FK booed when Bayat JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peyami Suha didn't get a good kick on the ball. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faruk Nafiz Öz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Giresun FK got a freekick which was hit by Hüsamettin Çiftçioğlu. Umur Tufan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Hami Başar was shown his second yellow card after 65 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Bayat JK booed when Giresun FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hami Başar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bahadır Taylak came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Giresun FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bahadır Taylak couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute, Bahadır Taylak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Feridun Ustam was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. 88 minutes into the game, one of Giresun FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Samim Akoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 99th play minute Samim Akoğlu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mehmet Bilge Kağan. 2-5. The Bayat JK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
