After 26 played minutes Kürtün got a freekick which was hit by Birant Okaner. Songurhan İçten kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Bursaspor JK's Abdullah Rasih got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bursaspor JK's zone, Songurhan İçten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. When Çelik Esendağ got free in front of the goal in the 38th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Mürsel Şanver was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Çelik Esendağ's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mürsel Şanver was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 43rd minute, Abdullah Rasih got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ahmet Hakan Parshan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mürsel Şanver having to make a save. Gökberk Gündüz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haşmet Neşet having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Kaan Uğursel charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kaan Uğursel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Kürtün getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. After some careless play in the Kürtün defense, Kamer Tutuş kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Haşmet Neşet. The Kürtün fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Haşmet Neşet should have stopped the shot. Ahmet Hakan Parshan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute.
