The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Doğa Berin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semavi Okaner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th match minute, Pozanti SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şeref Kayral to maneuver through the defense. Şeref Kayral hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Habib Kutan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Doğa Berin. Pozanti SK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Doğa Berin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doğan Keramettin's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Baha Tanyolaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökalp Kalgay having to interfere. Gökcan Nafiz kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Sarp İpçi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Eskihisar's Doğan Keramettin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doğa Berin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Yavuz Selimhan İşkembeci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pozanti SK's Kartal Budun pulled a muscle in his back after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Semavi Okaner during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Eskihisar getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Semavi Okaner hit a great ball. The supporters of Eskihisar booed when Pozanti SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barış Bilek didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Semavi Okaner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eskihisar's supporters rose to their feet, but Semavi Okaner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doğa Berin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doğa Berin came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Eskihisar's Doğan Keramettin. But to his dismay, Doğan Keramettin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After the first half Eskihisar were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Doğan Keramettin got free with Doğa Berin in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baha Tanyolaç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Gökalp Kalgay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Göktan Zekeriya charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Göktan Zekeriya the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Göktan Zekeriya kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Gökalp Kalgay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baha Tanyolaç, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Pozanti SK's Sarp İpçi got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Doğa Berin was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Habib Kutan. Doğan Keramettin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doğa Berin having to interfere. The supporters of Eskihisar booed when Pozanti SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şeref Kayral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Semavi Okaner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doğa Berin having to interfere. Gökalp Kalgay came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Pozanti SK's Baha Tanyolaç. But to his dismay, Baha Tanyolaç quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Baha Tanyolaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökalp Kalgay having to interfere. With a little luck, Pozanti SK's Doğa Berin got control of the ball when Doğan Keramettin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Pozanti SK's Baha Tanyolaç sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gökalp Kalgay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
