If Birdal Uğurcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Merinos booed when Pozanti SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdi Mehmet Kadıoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doğa Berin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birdal Uğurcan in the 10th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, Sarp İpçi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Günay Özkoc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abdi Mehmet Kadıoğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdi Mehmet Kadıoğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pozanti SK getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Abdi Mehmet Kadıoğlu hit a great ball. Birdal Uğurcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Doğa Berin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pozanti SK's Şeref Kayral got a free kick in the 22nd minute. But to his dismay, Burç Visali quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Pozanti SK's Doğa Berin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Pozanti SK from getting a goal against them. Sarp İpçi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Birdal Uğurcan took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Doğa Berin to make any attempt to save it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sarp İpçi made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Birdal Uğurcan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Pozanti SK getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Şeref Kayral hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Merinos's Uğuralp Tecimer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Günay Özkoc made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Baha Tanyolaç sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Burç Visali in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doğa Berin saved Pozanti SK from getting behind. In the 71st minute Burç Visali shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doğa Berin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sarp İpçi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78thth minute of the game Sarp İpçi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merinos's Günay Özkoc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Merinos's goalkeeper Günay Özkoc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 81 minutes, Ahmet Necdet Tuğsavaş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merinos and the Pozanti SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Ahmet Necdet Tuğsavaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Merinos's goalkeeper Günay Özkoc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Pozanti SK's Sarp İpçi in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Merinos's goalie prevented a goal. Baha Tanyolaçs short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Günay Özkoc to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 94 played minutes Pozanti SK got a freekick which was hit by Baha Tanyolaç. Merinos were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pozanti SK for a fine match.
