Hakkı Muammer might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Seyfettin Sanal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hakkı Muammer ran back to his position shaking his head. Seyfettin Sanal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baykal Pekinturk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hakkı Muammer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Seyfettin Sanal made a huge save. Baykal Pekinturk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Seyfettin Sanal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Ahmet Sedat Kılıçalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Demirözü's Seyfettin Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baykal Pekinturk in the 28th minute of play. When Günyüzü's Baykal Pekinturk in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Demirözü's goalie prevented a goal. Hadi Aysan's late challenge caught a Günyüzü's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. One of Demirözü:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Günyüzü:s goal. 38 minutes into the match, Günyüzü's goal looked a bit too open when Okaner Riva came free, but Sabahattin Egin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabahattin Egin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okaner Riva in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Mehmet Ediz Nasr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ahmet Sedat Kılıçalp to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Ahmet Sedat Kılıçalp notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Günyüzü's Sabahattin Egin. Sabahattin Egin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Baykal Pekinturk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baykal Pekinturk took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Seyfettin Sanal. Seyfettin Sanal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 61st minute, Demirözü's Ahmet Sedat Kılıçalp ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sabahattin Egin. Sabahattin Egin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Aysan Bayülgen kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Sabahattin Egin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Sedat Kılıçalp's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Baykal Pekinturk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seyfettin Sanal having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Hakkı Muammer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seyfettin Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Demirözü's Hadi Aysan got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Günyüzü fans cheered their team off the field, for while Demirözü had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
