To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Haluk Sefa came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the sirinyer SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haluk Sefa couldn't finish the play. Yağızalp Acarbay's late challenge caught a Yesilli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şaban Revan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haluk Sefa, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haluk Sefa to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Yesilli's Kandemir Utku got a free kick in the 55th minute. Doğuş Ayvazoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şansal Işıldar having to interfere. Yalçın Akdurmuş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Şansal Işıldar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Yesilli's goalkeeper Şaban Revan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bulut Akalın. Yağızalp Acarbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Şaban Revan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
