Celebi's Necmi Yeğiner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giray Onural in the 5th minute of play. Germencik JK's Giray Onural got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tayfur Tanuğur during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tayfur Tanuğur hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute of the match Ilgaz Akşin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Necmi Yeğiner showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Celebi's Tayfur Tanuğur got a free kick in the 9th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Germencik JK's goal looked a bit too open when Selim Emek came free, but Aşık Alansoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aşık Alansoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Selim Emek in the 28th minute of the match. Ediz Çetinoz's late challenge caught a Celebi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ediz Çetinoz helped the player get up and apologised. Ediz Çetinoz kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. A collision led to Celebi getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Lemi Bektaş hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Germencik JK's Giray Onural ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Necmi Yeğiner. Necmi Yeğiner yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Celebi's Lemi Bektaş got a free kick in the 42nd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giray Onural stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dursun Acartürk in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aşık Alansoy, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sefa Uğursal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celebi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
