The audience was convinced that Efekan Gökkır's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Turan Üstün was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emre Ballıoğlu was the one to do the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Merih Özgunay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes into the match, Rize FK's goal looked a bit too open when Efekan Gökkır came free, but Turan Üstün reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efekan Gökkır in the 87th minute of play forced Rize FK's goalkeeper Turan Üstün to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rize FK's Turan Üstün proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Rize FK from getting a goal against them. Sungurlu played a much better game than Rize FK and deserved their victory. The Rize FK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
