When Davut Tekindağ came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Köprüköy JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davut Tekindağ couldn't finish the play. Bumin Siret hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Ömür Songurhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davut Tekindağ, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Davut Tekindağ struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Ömür Songurhan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Köprüköy JK. When Şakir Süphan came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Yüregir SK fans jumped to their feet. Abuzer Coşkun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şakir Süphan in the 13th minute of play. Davut Tekindağ scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ömür Songurhan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Köprüköy JK's Abuzer Coşkun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şakir Süphan in the 21st minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Cuma Bahar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Köprüköy JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yüregir SK the free kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Davut Tekindağ during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Davut Tekindağ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Şakir Süphan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abuzer Coşkun having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Ahmet Efe Suay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferit Derem was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ömür Songurhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Necmettin Çağan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Köprüköy JK's Abuzer Coşkun got control of the ball when Necmi Acarsoy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Davut Tekindağ made a kick off. The supporters of Köprüköy JK booed when Yüregir SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şanver Başkaynak didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Necmettin Çağan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Köprüköy JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Necmettin Çağan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ömür Songurhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Davut Tekindağ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Köprüköy JK's Davut Tekindağ ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ömür Songurhan. Ömür Songurhan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. 75 minutes into the match, Yüregir SK's goalkeeper Ömür Songurhan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Necmettin Çağan. 83 minutes into the match, Yüregir SK's Necmi Acarsoy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abuzer Coşkun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Davut Tekindağ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Şakir Süphan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abuzer Coşkun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şakir Süphan in the 90th minute of play. Şakir Süphan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abuzer Coşkun having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Köprüköy JK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
