After some careless play in the Kurtalan defense, Ünal Yanar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gürbüz Cesman. The Kurtalan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gürbüz Cesman should have stopped the shot. Ahmet Kutsi Akkurt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alkın Yaren in the 24th minute. A collision led to Babaeski SK getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Berk Çolakoğlu hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute Ünal Yanar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gürbüz Cesman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Babaeski SK's Ünal Yanar got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Babaeski SK's goalkeeper Ahmet Kutsi Akkurt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Babaeski SK booed when Kurtalan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Behram Karay didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Babaeski SK's zone, Celalettin Atlıhan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Kutsi Akkurt came out of the goal and Celalettin Atlıhan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gürbüz Cesman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ünal Yanar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
