Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Celalettin Atlıhan kicked off to start the match. The audience was convinced that Cemalettin Pekel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gürbüz Cesman was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. When Kılıçalp Öner came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Menemen fans jumped to their feet. Cemalettin Pekel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gürbüz Cesman came out and tried to block the shot, but Cemalettin Pekel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 30th minute. Ahmet Kutsi Uma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celalettin Atlıhan in the 35th minute of play. Kılıçalp Öner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gürbüz Cesman having to make a save. If Kılıçalp Öner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kılıçalp Öner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gürbüz Cesman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cemalettin Pekel was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Menemen's Ahmet Kutsi Uma got control of the ball when Necdet Usbay tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Buğra Mehmet during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Buğra Mehmet hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Kılıçalp Öner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kılıçalp Öner's late challenge caught a Kurtalan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kılıçalp Öner helped the player get up and apologised. Celalettin Atlıhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alkın Yaren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Ahmet Kutsi Uma when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cemalettin Pekel in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gürbüz Cesman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ahmet Kutsi Uma was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Necdet Usbay capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Necdet Usbay really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. A collision led to Kurtalan getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Behram Karay hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Menemen had won after a very even match.
