Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hıncal Devrim took the kick off in the first half of the match. Hıncal Devrim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Seyfi Berin fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maltepe's protests and gave Seyfi Berin a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Maltepe got a freekick which was hit by Seyfi Berin. When Mustafa Yaşar Saraçoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Maltepe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mustafa Yaşar Saraçoğlu couldn't finish the play. Maltepe's Atay Talat got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th match minute, Izmirspor SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hıncal Devrim to maneuver through the defense. Hacı Burçhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maltepe's goalkeeper Demir Engintalay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hacı Burçhan got free with Demir Engintalay in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Özal Cenger during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Maltepe's Özal Cenger got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Izmirspor SK's goal looked a bit too open when Özal Cenger came free, but Güney Süner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mirza Ağaverdi made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Vefa Ceceli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Demir Engintalay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 60 minutes into the game, Mirza Ağaverdi lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Güney Süner. The audience was convinced that Mirza Ağaverdi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Güney Süner was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Güney Süner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mirza Ağaverdi in the 71st minute of the match. Güney Süner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 minutes, Özbek Tosun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Izmirspor SK and the Maltepe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Izmirspor SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Özbek Tosun to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Maltepe's Güney Süner threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mirza Ağaverdi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Maltepe eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
