In the 26th minute, Alparslan Alan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Umur Koray was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ediz Zeynelabidin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Rahman Akkaynak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Meriç Teksoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reis Sargınal got free with Rahman Akkaynak in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ediz Zeynelabidin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Rahman Akkaynak made a huge save. Arslan Türehan hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alparslan Alan to make the kick off. In the 61stth minute of the game Okaner Ergüden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Basciftlik's Rahman Akkaynak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Umur Koray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alparslan Alan in the 66th minute of play. Ediz Zeynelabidin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rahman Akkaynak having to interfere. After some careless play in the Basciftlik defense, Okaner Ergüden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rahman Akkaynak. The Basciftlik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rahman Akkaynak should have stopped the shot. During the 77th minute of the match Arslan Türehan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Arslan Türehan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Karapürcek booed when Basciftlik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arslan Türehan didn't get a good kick on the ball.
