Bozkurt Cengel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kazım Okcan in the 5th minute. Kutalp Toktamış made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mithat Oğuz in the 13th minute of play. In the 14thth minute of the game Mithat Oğuz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ilgaz's Kutalp Toktamış was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abdurrahim Pektaşi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bozkurt Cengel having to interfere. A collision led to Orta getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Mansur Makbul hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Turabi Samih during the 19th minute. Bekir İlkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 33 played minutes Ilgaz got a freekick which was hit by Halis Cesur. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bekir İlkan in the 34th minute of play forced Ilgaz's goalkeeper Kutalp Toktamış to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mithat Oğuz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Kutalp Toktamış tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mansur Makbul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abdurrahim Pektaşi was the one to do the kick off. Orta's Bozkurt Cengel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdurrahim Pektaşi in the 59th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kazım Okcan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bozkurt Cengel was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Bozkurt Cengel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdurrahim Pektaşi in the 69th minute of play. A collision led to Orta getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Ilgaz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Orta the free kick.
