Yusuf Ziya Ülküsel kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gencay Özkar in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Hakan Erçetin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gencay Özkar struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Ahmet Hakan Erçetin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esentepe. The supporters of Tasköprü booed when Esentepe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ecevit Oktar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Şemsifer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Atabey Şölen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esentepe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tasköprü the free kick. Tasköprü's Kürşat Ongay got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 played minutes Esentepe got a freekick which was hit by Mikail Talha. Ahmet Hakan Erçetin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramiz Korcan's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Esentepe's Ramiz Korcan got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Tasköprü's goal looked a bit too open when Gencay Özkar came free, but Ahmet Hakan Erçetin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Esentepe getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Samim Torum hit a great ball. When Kürşat Ongay came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Tasköprü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kürşat Ongay couldn't finish the play. Mikail Talha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ahmet Hakan Erçetin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Kürşat Ongay made the kick off in the second half. Hulusi Ehil made a great header on Esentepe's corner, it was just that Tasköprü's Ahmet Hakan Erçetin managed to reach the ball for a save. Yusuf Ziya Ülküsel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Hakan Erçetin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
