The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Berker Rıza Öksüz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hulki Adıgün having to interfere. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sultanhamam SK's goalkeeper Mustafa Oğuz Başay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Berker Rıza Öksüz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute of the match Ahmet Ömür Ekin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hulki Adıgün skillfully saved the ball. Mustafa Oğuz Başay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Halit Ziya Yücel in the 17th minute. A collision led to Suadiye SK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Çağan Yağın hit a great ball. Rahmi Kuntay scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hulki Adıgün, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute, Rahmi Kuntay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hulki Adıgün was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Berker Rıza Öksüz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sultanhamam SK's Rahmi Kuntay in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 39th minute, Atak Tanbey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ateş Hurmacı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Rahmi Kuntay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hulki Adıgün. Suadiye SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rahmi Kuntay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Berker Rıza Öksüz made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Sultanhamam SK's Berker Rıza Öksüz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Berker Rıza Öksüz took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Hulki Adıgün to make any attempt to save it. If Rahmi Kuntay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hulki Adıgün stood somewhat misplaced when Berker Rıza Öksüz came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 61 minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Berker Rıza Öksüz in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hulki Adıgün prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th match minute, Sultanhamam SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berker Rıza Öksüz to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 75 minutes, Berker Rıza Öksüz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sultanhamam SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berker Rıza Öksüz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Berker Rıza Öksüz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Babür Yenbu kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After 86 played minutes Sultanhamam SK got a freekick which was hit by Semail Kırca. When Sait Erginer fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sultanhamam SK's protests and gave Sait Erginer a yellow card for diving instead. Sultanhamam SK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
