An unexpectedly hard shot by Berker Rıza Öksüz in the 6th minute of play forced Maltepe JK's goalkeeper Buğra Sanih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Buğra Sanih successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 19 minutes into the match, Maltepe JK's Göktürk Özerol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mustafa Oğuz Başay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Maltepe JK booed when Sultanhamam SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sait Erginer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Varol Başbuğoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berker Rıza Öksüz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Buğra Sanih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 32 minutes, Sait Erginer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sultanhamam SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sait Erginer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Sultanhamam SK getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Saffet Hiçyılmaz hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Varol Başbuğoğlu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sultanhamam SK's Mustafa Oğuz Başay. Mustafa Oğuz Başay was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 45 played minutes Sultanhamam SK got a freekick which was hit by kaya Yeler.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Göktürk Özerol to strike the kick off in the second half. Saffet Hiçyılmaz kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Berker Rıza Öksüz, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 58 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Buğra Sanih was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Berker Rıza Öksüz might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Buğra Sanih. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Berker Rıza Öksüz ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Sultanhamam SK's kaya Yeler got a free kick in the 65th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Göktürk Özerol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maltepe JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Göktürk Özerol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Varol Başbuğoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Sultanhamam SK's Mustafa Oğuz Başay got control of the ball when Varol Başbuğoğlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Berker Rıza Öksüz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sultanhamam SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Berker Rıza Öksüz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Buğra Sanih breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sultanhamam SK's Mustafa Oğuz Başay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göktürk Özerol in the 80th minute of play. Ahmet Ömür Ekin kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Sait Erginer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Varol Başbuğoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Maltepe JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Varol Başbuğoğlu couldn't finish the play. After having played for 88 minutes, Berker Rıza Öksüz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
