Peker Keremşah charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berk Toygar got free with Suat Şehzade in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hilmi Rikap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Faruk Garip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hilmi Rikap stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erdem Nuratay's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. The supporters of Ilica booed when Akatlar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamit Mengüç didn't get a good kick on the ball. Akatlar's Tayyip Delfin got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 36 minutes, Erdem Tenzil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ilica and the Akatlar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hilmi Rikap was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Akatlar's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ali Faruk Garip fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 81 minutes into the game, Erdem Nuratay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Hilmi Rikap was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hilmi Rikap made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Ali Faruk Garip sent off a good shot on target. Ali Faruk Garip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Hilmi Rikap tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Erdem Nuratay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilmi Rikap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ilica walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
